Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is "very excited" about the Doctor Strange movie that just officially started production today, and excited for "what it's doing for the Marvel Universe."

The filmmaker, who is in pre-production on Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, took some time out today to talk to fans, and of course one of the first questions was what he thought about Doctor Strange.

"I like Doctor Strange, but I'm really excited about the new script," Gunn said during a Facebook Live broadcast embedded below. "I like the script a lot so I'm very excited about the movie and I think Scott Derrickson is going to do something very unique visually. In the same way that Guardians came in and was a unique visual take on the Marvel Universe that was very different from the stuff that came before it, I think Doctor Strange is going to be the same way. So I'm so, so excited for what it's doing for the Marvel Universe."
