It has been previously rumored that Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman solo film will be set in two time periods: modern day and during World War I. A new rumor claims the film will actually be set in three time periods.

"We've now learned from a well-placed source (who will remain anonymous) that Wonder Woman will, in fact, take place in three distinct time periods," Den of Geek reports. "It's even possible, we're told, that the story will move through a different time period for each act."

According to them, the first setting is Themyscira, Princess Diana's home island which is hidden from the rest of mankind. The next time period will be set in 1916, the middle of the First World War. The film will then transition into the modern day "where it will tie into the events of Justice League Part One."

They add, "We're also hearing that, to go with the three separate time periods, there's the possibility that Wonder Woman's outfit will change to reflect each setting."

Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman solo film, being directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster) and costarring Chris Pine (Star Trek Into Darkness), will begin filming in November and will land in theaters on June 23, 2017.
