Update: Sony Animation reached out to us to let us know that this report from The Tracking Board is inaccurate. There is no Danger Mouse deal or project in place.

In addition to a planned animated series, there is apparently a feature film in the works featuring Danger Mouse.

The Tracking Board reports that StudioCanal and Sony Pictures Animation have the film set up to be produced by Original Film and Fremantle Media. Neal Mortiz will produce with Toby Ascher overseeing for Original.

Moritz, whose work includes I Know What You Did Last Summer, Prison Break and the Fast and Furious franchise, has Goosebumps coming to theaters later this month.

The original Danger Mouse cartoon series, created by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall, ran from 1981 to 1992. The first episodes of a rebooted version have just recently stared to air on CBBC, according to TTB.

Another stories British animation franchise, Bananaman, was set to have a theatrical film coming in 2015 but the production fell off track and the website currently says "coming soon," the date removed.
