Earlier this year, tabloid rumors swirled around following a report from OK! Magazine, claiming that Andrew Lincoln wanted off of AMC's The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead is heading into its sixth season with a full head of steam and Lincoln has given no prior indication of interest in leaving, so skepticism ensued, naturally. Since those rumors surfaced, Lincoln's representatives publicly denied the claims.

Yesterday, speaking to Lincoln myself, I asked him about the situation. "Oh, I think my representatives dealt with it brilliantly," Lincoln told ComicBook.com exclusively. "There is no truth in that statement."

Relax, Walking Dead fans. Turns out, that was just a silly tabloid rumor with no ground to stand on. Andrew Lincoln isn't going anywhere, unless of course Rick Grimes meets an untimely demise. Lincoln's enthusiasm for the upcoming season seems to be at an all-time high, as demonstrated by the rest of our interview.

The Walking Dead returns for its sixth season this Sunday, October 11 at 9 PM EST on AMC.
