Michael Fassbender's Macbeth Trailer Released Online

Michael Fassbender may have made a name for himself in the genre world playing a complicated villain who can sometimes be seen as a hero, but now he's tackling one of the earliest and most famous versions of that archetype, Shakespeare's Macbeth. The film, from The Weinstein Company, had its first full US trailer release Tuesday morning.

Coming December 4, 2015 to select theaters, Macbeth also stars Marion Cotillard (herself also a comic book movie veteran) as the Lady to which many argue the title could refer. Check out the trailer, featuring Shakespearean dialogue and teases of epic battles, above, and if you buy your tickets in a theater, remember to just ask for "the Scottish movie."
