Gauntlet: Slayer Edition Trailer Announces PlayStation 4 Release

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced Gauntlet: Slayer Edition, coming to PlayStation 4 in August.

The new Gauntlet seeks to bring the co-op gameplay of the arcade original to local multiplayer, allowing players to select from four classic fantasy-based characters - Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie or Elf - each with a distinctive play style, unique strengths and weaknesses.

In the Slayer Edition, players will travel to an unexplored realm and encounter new hero weapons and abilities, new monster types, additional features that increase team dynamics and strategy, and new gameplay modes to be revealed this month.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is available to pre-order now from the PlayStation Store. Players who pre-order will receive download codes to unlock Mordok's Screaming Hammer and Reaper's Visage Helmet for the Warrior class in-game.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition will release digitally for PlayStation 4 on Aug. 11, and is priced at $19.99. Check out preview screenshots in the gallery below.
