Conceptual artists Karl Simon, Jock and Oliver Cubbage have posted their Ex Machina concept art of the beguiling artificial intelligence known as Ava (played by Alicia Vikander), whose robotic form is presented as a sensual female.

In a film that features Star Wars: The Force Awakens actors Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson, it is Alicia Vikander's mesmerizing performance in Alex Garland's Ex Machina that have people raving.

From the very first moment we see the Swedish actress as Ava, she pops off the screen. Yes, we've seen a ton of robots over the decades, but Ava's visible metal skeletal structure and exposed inner workings are unlike anything we've seen before.

That spellbinding design is due in large part to the film's art department. Now let's take a look at some of their designs below.

Alex Garland, writer of 28 Days Later and Sunshine, makes his directorial debut with the stylish and cerebral thriller, EX MACHINA.  Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson), a programmer at an internet-search giant, wins a competition to spend a week at the private mountain estate of the company's brilliant and reclusive CEO, Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac).
