In a new interview with ScreenCrush, ostensibly in support of Into the Woods, fan-favorite actress Emily Blunt spent a good chunk of time responding to rumors and fan-casting that places her in the role of Captain Marvel.

"I think, it's always for me, it's always about—and now, more so—what am I putting out there?" Blunt eventually said after trying her best to make the reporter describe the property. "What would be interesting for me and what would be interesting for people to see. So, if it's an awesome part, it doesn't matter if it's a Marvel movie or a tiny movie, I'd be up for it."

Of course, along the way there were some more creative ideas tossed around. Playing off the Into the Woods element, the reporter suggested making a musical.

"'Captain Musical Marvel.' Let's just call Marvel about that right now," joked Blunt. "We'll call Kevin Feige about that. 'Kevin Feige, we have one hell of an idea.'"

Of course, she later said she'd love to get the role and would likely never get a phone call back if she were to pitch it that way, so don't get your hopes up too high for that musical...!
