AMC's website for The Walking Dead is starting to gear up for Season Five, and we've found a number of new photos, and some new information about some of the as-yet-mysterious characters.

Earlier this week, AMC released a series of images, and these new ones are part of the same batch.

The photos (except for Father Gabriel's) have a common theme, which seems to be that a little light can occasionally shine through in the dark, dark world of The Walking Dead. Of course, the light might sometimes just be shining through bullet holes in a wall.

You can check out the images -- shared here along with the official character descriptions from the AMC site -- below. We've omitted the six primary leads whose pictures were already shared.

And we'll start with those mysterious, new characters...!

Gareth is a pragmatic leader at Terminus, a dangerous man with secrets.

Gabriel Stokes is a man of the cloth who is starting to face the truths of the world.

Carl is the son of Rick and Lori. He flees with his mom and Shane after the apocalypse.

Beth is Hershel's daughter and Maggie's sister, and has become a caretaker for baby Judith.

Tyreese is Sasha's brother, who is traveling with Carol and baby Judith.

Sasha is Tyreese's scrappy no-nonsense younger sister.

Bob has secrets. He is fighting his own demons, and struggles to control them.

Sgt. Abraham Ford is on a mission to get Eugene to Washington, D.C.

Formerly allied with the Governor, Tara is determined to help the group.

Rosita is in a relationship with Abraham and is equally determined to get to D.C.

Dr. Eugene Porter is observant and focused, but not a warrior.

The addition of the rest of the cast, including villain Gareth, to the mix pretty much eliminates the fan speculation we noted in our first story that those pictured were "safe" for now.

The Walking Dead returns on October 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC with a new episode titled "No Sanctuary."
